MINDFULNESS ABOUT OUR COMMUNITY - PARK HILL STREET FAIR SUSTAINABILITY

Another way Sustainable Three supports the community is at the Greater Park Hill Street Fair. Liz has been part of the Home Tour and Street Fair for 10 years. The Sustainability efforts ensure a low waste to landfill event with over 100 street vendors and about 3,000 attendees every year. Vendors are required to use compostable serving ware and utensils. Attendees are encouraged to walk, bike and bring their own reusable water bottles. Free E-Recycling (sponsored by PCs for People is also available at the event each year.
MINDFULNESS ABOUT OUR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS SAFETY WHILE SAVING THE PLANET

One of the most satisfying projects to date has been prioritizing sustainability as part of Denver East High School's After Prom. EHS's After Prom Night is legendary. The first year we made Sustainability a priority, it became a low waste to landfill event going forward. We were able to measure how much waste was diverted from the landfill. Sustainability is now a priority in every committed for this one-night event that helps keep teens safe on prom night. Be sure to read the blog post about the waste diversion.
